Deadline is looming for proposals to access the Durban Film Office’s Development Fund Programme

The recently launched Development Fund Programme of the Durban Film Office closes this Monday 13th January 2014 at 17h00 – local filmmakers are encouraged to hurry and submit their proposals!  The programme designed for the first time to cater for experienced and seasonal local filmmakers, will provide financial assistance to already developed film project proposals.

DFO’s Toni Monty notes the need for initial funding for filmmakers that deserve and require a kick-start to their film project and to realise their dreams in filmmaking can become a reality.

“We believe the programme will offer an ideal investment opportunity for both locally distinguished filmmakers as well as towards the promotion of our progressive film industry,” said Monty.

The programme will accept project proposals that display commercial viability, prospective investment and collaboration opportunities as well as local and global competitiveness.
