The Content Shop

Distributors, sale agents, and programmers will have a catalogue of 60 African films that are ready for sale and distribution at their disposal through the online DFM Content Shop. These films have been curated to reflect the unique African storytelling and high-quality work that will be discussed throughout the sessions.

Our Pitch Forum offers financiers, funders, investors and programmers a chance to fully explore the 70 African projects in development that we’ll be presenting.

DFM CONVERSATIONS

Filmmakers rarely get a chance to network with one another and learn from each other. DFM Conversations are a series of sessions aimed to address that, offering you the opportunity to have in-depth conversations with prominent filmmakers. We look forward to covering topics such as screenwriting, audience development, representation in filmmaking and pioneering an African aesthetic.

TALENT FILMMAKER TALKS

Talent Filmmaker Talks highlight the journey of some of the best creative talents from the continent’s film industry, celebrating their triumphs while unpacking the challenges and opportunities they’ve navigated.

AFRICA IN FOCUS

Africa In Focus provides nuanced context to interesting challenges and opportunities for African filmmakers. These talks will spotlight areas such as production, distribution, and other key areas effective within the film and media industry.

ANIMATION @DFM

As the animation industry grows on the continent, DFM will take a look at the African Animation community while celebrating the work of the continent’s filmmakers.

DURBAN DOES DOCS

Engage with well-known African documentary directors and role players, while learning and understanding how they share their stories in our Durban Does Docs sessions.
