BIO

After creating a 4 story media centre in London Bridge Shantelle moved on and opened her first two companies at age twenty-two, which made high-end commercials and film and a training academy for under-represented young people. With over 15 years in the industry Shantelle has gained extensive experience with budgets, business and financial structures and now offers these services at her company Ida Rose where they are committed to help shape the future by working with diverse creatives; especially writers, directors, producers and actresses all over the globe. Shantelle continues to work in the industry as a producer, showrunner and actress and loves what she does. She leads a diverse team and loves working with people who share the company’s values in bringing new and great stories to global audiences. 

In March 2017, Shantelle opened Ida Rose’ and it’s first in-house Award winning film ‘Two Graves’  was bought by Netflix. Shantelle has worked on numerous other European films as a producer and line-producer. In 2020 under covid protocol she produced the ‘Black British Theatre Awards’ alongside Kwame Kwei-Armah for Sky Arts. Since then Shantelle has been working on a diverse Ida Rose slate of films, series, documentaries and digital projects with the first film of 2022 entitled Stolen which is an official South African and UK co production under the official South African and UK trade mission alongside Kwazulu-Natal Film Commision and the BFI UK Global Screen Fund. Currently the only candidate being awarded two funds via the UK Global Screen Fund Co Production/International Business. Her next slate of films have been picked up by US based distributors Big Media and Stolen has been bought by BET+ as a franchise movie.
